CANNABIS farm equipment is being used to keep a pioneering environmental initiative ticking over.

Dozens of horticultural items have been donated to Incredible Edible Todmorden (IET) by the town’s police officers as part of an imaginative recycling scheme.

Growing equipment ranging from electric propagators to more mundane staples such as pots, compost and plant food are often seized during enquiries into illegal cannabis-growing operations.

And when the investigations, or court cases, are concluded then the tools of their trade need to be disposed of — resulting in the link-up.
