BUSINESSES in Todmorden are to get more support and help through the Economic Task Force launched by Calderdale Council.
The proposed plans will enable Calderdale to excel in supporting businesses, attracting start-ups and developing job opportunities. Coun Tim Swift, council leader and chairman of the task force, said: “The council can play a major part in securing the continuing economic development of our communities in hard times.
“The priorities we are agreeing set out clearly how we intend to achieve this.”
He added that it was a matter of ‘targeting our efforts to work as effectively as we can’.
