Taxi knife threats: Teen quizzed

A TEENAGER from Whitworth has been arrested after two taxi drivers were robbed at knifepoint in their cabs.

The first incident took place after a man hailed a cab from Rochdale to Whitworth at about 7pm on Sunday.

Police said when the taxi arrived at Eastgate in Whitworth, the driver was threatened with a knife and assaulted. It is alleged the offender made off with about £25.

Around 10pm, another driver was threatened with a knife.
