Whitworth actors are ready to make moves

WHITWORTH Amateur Musical and Dramatic Society is currently in rehearsal for its production of the musical Chess.

A cast of more than 30 local people are involved and tickets are selling well.

The show, which was written by Tim Rice and scored by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus of ABBA, will be staged at The Curtain Theatre in Rochdale from July 6 to July 14.

Society chair Andy Kelly said: “Following the recent successes of Rent, Our House, Chorus Line and Godspell, we have had plenty of advanced sales.

“Many of our juniors have moved up to the adult cast this year.”
