A NEW headteacher has been appointed at St Bartholomew’s CE Primary School, in Whitworth.
Nerys Hughes has taken the helm, and replaces associate headteacher Vicky Milne, who led the school for two terms.
Miss Hughes said: “It is a huge honour for me to become headteacher of a school with such a dedicated staff, supportive parents, committed governors, and talented pupils. It is an exciting time for me to be beginning my headship. There are plans afoot to begin remodelling work to enhance our school and the building.
“We are also planning to improve the ICT provision, promoting educational technologies to inspire our children, making learning irresistible and fun.
“We welcome visitors and parents to come and see how our school is evolving.”
