Waterfoot Primary School to turn page on move

A WATERFOOT primary school is preparing a commemorative paper edition of its school newspaper to mark the closure of its current school site and the opening of its new one.
Waterfoot Primary School, in Thornfield Avenue is moving to Wolfernden Green, behind Bacup and Rawtenstall Grammar School at the end of term.
The opening of the new school will be marked with a special opening day on January 4, with pupils returning on January 5.
Head teacher Simon Jones said: “We are moving into the new school just after Christmas and we are preparing a commemorative issue of our school newspaper the Waterfoot Herald.
“The paper has been up and running since 2001 and is available to read online on our website.”
