AN action planning team has been formed by the Calderdale Community Safety Partnership in Todmorden and Hebden Bridge.
It has been formed from representatives of the police, probation service, Pennine Housing, street wardens, Calderdale Against Drugs campaign, Calderdale MBC and local community groups.
A spokesman said: "We are taking steps to improve the quality of life of residents for Todmorden and Hebden Bridge by dealing with the issues the communities have told us about.
"These are matters that are important to them.
"For example, we are working with young people to raise awareness around their personal safety and we are working with a residents' group to improve street lighting at Todmorden's Harley Bank.
"We have attracted more partners, which has resulted in youth workers being able to provide more equipment and activities to engage young people."
