POLICE officers manned Todmorden and other town market stalls to highlight the work being done in the Upper Calder Valley to beat crime and make the area safer.

"Not in My Neighbourhood" was the theme of the exhibition, aimed at showing steps which residents can take to beat the criminal and keep their property safe.

Neighbour Policing team inspector Mohammed Nawaz said: "The not in my neighbourhood week' is a national initiative aimed at empowering communities and raising awareness of the huge range of work that people do, day in, day out to keep crime down and keep communities safe."
