POLICE have arrested two men over an alleged gunpoint robbery at Todmorden railway station more than three weeks ago.
The two men, aged 32 and 27 and both from Todmorden, were arrested on suspicion of attempted armed robbery during dawn raids at their home addresses.
A British Transport Police spokesman said the pair had been interviewed and released on police bail pending further enquiries until April 1. Officers from BTP released an appeal, including CCTV images, following an incident at the station on January 7.
Police said that a man approached the ticket officer wearing a balaclava just before 8pm and allegedly pointed a handgun at the station clerk.
But the clerk refused to hand over any cash and the raider fled empty-handed, according to transport police.
