A DRIVER escaped with minor injuries when her car crashed into a tree.
Franciska Begani, of Littleborough, was taken to Rochdale Infirmary with cuts and bruises after the crash in Booth Road, Stacksteads, at 6.15pm yesterday.
PC Mark Newton of Rossendale police, said: "Our accident investigation officer is here to check whether there were any faults with the car.
"The driver had been travelling from Bacup towards Waterfoot when she collided with the tree."
