Eye surgery for woman after Rossendale attack

A WOMAN may lose the sight in one eye after being attacked in Bacup.

Police said the 32-year-old Bacup woman has been left needing emergency surgery on a sunken eye socket after being punched in the early hours of October 5.

Three people have been charged with section 18 wounding with intent.

Paul Greenwood, 33, of Lord Avenue, Bacup and Amjad Hussain, 27 of Blackwood Court, Stacksteads, have been remanded in custody at Burnley Magistrates' Court.

Sabina English, 31, of Cutler Crescent, Stacksteads, has also been charged but released on bail.

A date for the hearings is yet to be set.
