Volunteer growers are sought in Stacksteads

GREEN-fingered volunteers are being sought to help a community planting scheme take root in Stacksteads.

Incredible Edible Rossendale have already planted community gardens in Whitaker Park, Rawtenstall, at the bus stop in Waterfoot and in Bacup and Haslingden.

Now it is working with Stacksteads Countryside Park Group to source locations and volunteers to help cultivate abandoned pieces of land for fresh fruit, veg and herb beds for the community to use and care for.

Rossendale-based charity REAL is assisting the organisation.
