A MAN was savagely beaten by a gang in what is being described as a vicious and motiveless attack.
Three men approached the victim, who was in his parked car at a garage complex off Sow Clough Road, in Stacksteads.
It was there that they subjected him to a prolonged and vicious attack.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to the attack, which happened at around 7.45pm on Friday, November 20.
Sow Clough Road joins with Huttock End Lane, which police said was busy that night with people on foot and vehicles driving up and down.
Anyone with information should call Rossendale CID on 01706 237344 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
