A BRASS band that came first in their section for the North West Regional Brass Bands Championships are raising cash to allow them to go to the national finals.
Stacksteads Band took home the trophy for best in the fourth section after competing at the regional qualifiers at Blackpool in March.
The troupe now wish to raise enough money for them to travel to Cheltenham for the National Brass Band Championships in September.
Fred Bowker, musical director of the band, said: “We’re looking forward to further success.”
The band will next perform at St John the Evangelist in Gorple Road, Worsthorne, on Friday at 7.30pm, and will also play at The Whit Friday Marches on Friday, June 13 in Tameside.
