Sophie Lancaster's boyfriend finds world 'terrifying place'
TORMENT: Robert Maltby
TORMENT: Robert Maltby

A man whose girlfriend was murdered in a Lancashire park for being a goth finds the world a "terrifying place", a court has heard.

Robert Maltby, 21, was beaten, kicked and stamped unconscious in Stubbylee Park, Bacup, by a gang of drunken teenagers "acting like a pack of wild animals".

A statement from Mr Maltby, read out by prosecutor Michael Shorrock QC, said: "Before all this happened I was settled into a life quite independent.

"My life was set up and I had control over everything.

"Now I have regressed to being something similar to a child.

"I really just like to think I'm now only eight-months-old.

"I'm finding the whole world a terrifying place."

Poor bugger - it makes me feel sick inside thinking about the torment he must going through, they didn't get harsh enough sentences in my opinion. It's a given they can't be executed in this coutry but Imprisonment (or Detention) for Public Protection (IPP), with a minimum of 50 years. This would have been an oppotune time to say to all the mindless idiots out there that...
...if you murder a truly innocent person. We, the law abiding people. We will take your ugly poisonous & pointless life, the one you squandered so needlesly, away from you. Until such point you are deemed worthy of entering normal society.. at which point they sould be flogged within an inch of their life.

Robert I wish you good health and good luck for your future life. Dont let these poisonous interbred scum taint your future any further, though I know that's easier said than done. My very, very best wishes to you.

Move Rob. For God's sake move. There are decent places in the world. Get into the country. We did, and we've never looked back.
