A MUM-OF-THREE has arranged a fundraising night to be held in Rawtenstall.
Young people's counsellor Donna Howarth wants to help The Rochdale Children's Moorland Home, which benefits people from Rossendale.
The home accommodates children from the ages of five to 11 for short holidays when they need a break away from circumstances at home.
Paul Crone, from Granada TV, and X Factor finalists, Area-D will be performing.
There will also be an auction.
Donna said: "Being a young persons' counsellor, I know the many reasons why children desperately need this time out - for example, the breakdown of parents' relationship, bereavement, bullying or abuse."
"I want to raise as much money as possible and I have given myself the target of £10,000. This will go towards the cost of buying a minibus for the school to take the children out on day trips while staying at the home."
Tickets for the event are £50 which includes champagne reception, four course meal and entertainment.
The ball will be held at St Mary's Chambers in Rawtenstall on Friday, June 6.
Call Donna on 07721 597587 for tickets.
