Woman falls into river in Rawtenstall
11:30am Monday 5th May 2008
A woman was rescued after she fell into a river in Rawtenstall.
The woman, believed to be drunk, was sat on the wall near the Craven Heifer pub and fell backwards into the foot-deep river next to Burnley Road around 10.15pm last night.
She fell four feet into the water.
Firefighters were called to rescue the woman, who was then taken to hospital by ambulance.

Is this news when the fatal accident on the Haslingden by-pass hasn't had a mention?
