Ski Rossendale has been transformed into an alpine getaway after being given a makeover by a group of volunteers.
The Rawtenstall ski slope received the facelift after a donation from Dulux Decorator Centre, in King Street, Blackburn.
The exterior buildings and perimeter fencing were spruced up by volunteers who swapped their skis for paintbrushes. The Haslingden Old Road leisure facility has undergone huge investment since it re-opened as the a not-for-profit social enterprise, Ski Rossendale Ltd.
Ski Rossendale Director Sue Foulkes said: “We are truly grateful to Dulux Decorator Centres for the generous paint donation. Ski Rossendale had always been a valued and much used sports facility, and we are now looking forward to welcoming the local community back to the new and improved site.
“We passionately believe that winter sports help children to develop and become more independent, and are thrilled that we’ve not only been able to save the centre, but also give it a dramatic transformation.”
