A CARE home has been rated as ‘good’ overall by a health watchdog.

Following an unannounced inspection by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), Hillview Care Home in Hurst Lane, Rawtenstall was also rated as good for being safe, caring, providing effective care, being responsive to the needs of its residents and well-led.

The inspectors said that people living at Hillview, which is run by Four Seasons Health Care, felt safe and were looked after by a team who were caring, kind and considerate and who treated them with respect for their dignity.

The inspectors saw that staff had developed positive and caring relationships with people living in the home.

They saw staff were friendly and relaxed with the people they supported and interacted with them in a kind, patient and sensitive way.

The home provides accommodation and support for up to 46 people who require nursing or personal care.

Rachael Junge, Regional Managing Director for Four Seasons Health Care, said: “Such a good CQC inspection outcome can only be achieved by, an enthusiastic team supporting each other for the benefit of the residents.

“The comments by residents and their relatives let us know the team is so well appreciated.”
