A PUB in East Lancashire has been touted as one of the best places in the country to have a Sunday lunch.
The Eagle and Child, in Whalley Road, Ramsbottom has been named in inews’ top 50 best pubs across the country for Sunday lunches.
The pub is described as a community pub with ‘top-quality’ food which focuses on Lancashire’s food heritage and sells affordable dishes, including black pudding Scottish egg and clotted cream.
The pub owner, Glen Duckett, is also credited with giving disadvantaged young people the chance to train in the kitchen and for transforming waste ground into a beer garden.
