Helmshore school's aid for Africa

PUPILS and families at St Veronica's Primary, Helmshore, helped raise more than £1,000 to enable the school to sponsor a child in Africa for a further year with the balance being donated to Cameo Aid.

A representative from the charity, which aims to improve the quality of life of people in Africa, received a cheque from pupils yesterday.
