RESIDENTS of Helmshore have been given the chance to see what life was like in their town half a century ago.
A full-length colour film focusing on Helmshore in the 1950s has now been transferred to DVD by founders of the Local History Society.
The film was originally shown in the 1950s but has now been converted to DVD format.
The film shows an insight into the aftermath of a drought, primary school sports days and aerial views.
Footage of Whitsuntide processions, Musbury Church bell ringing, Helmshore prize band and the cotton mill of James Barlow & Sons also feature.
Due to the demand of the programmes in recent years, the makers decided to transfer the footage on to disc.
The Lost World of Aspin and Pilkington is narrated by Chris Aspin and the late Derek Pilkington and costs £10.
