A FASHION student has gone into business with her tutor in an "Enchanted" venture.

Karen, from Helmshore has started up a bespoke children’s clothes range with her former tutor and friend Jennifer Pritchard-Couchman.

Karen, 41, who is married to former Manchester United star and Bury manager Chris Casper, met Jennifer at Blackburn College and taught her on the fashion module part of her foundation degree.

They became friends and Karen started her Tulle and Candyfloss company making embroidered vintage headwear and accessories with her designs being exhibited all over Europe.

In 2016, the pair decided to do something creative together, as Jennifer has her own bridal studio in Lancaster.

“We are good friends and we just wanted to do something where we could put our talents to the best possible use,” said mum-of-two Karen

Fusing Jennifer's couture dress making expertise and my surface designs we are hopefully creating something special and unique hand crafted in the UK.

“Jennifer designs the dresses and I add the accessories and trimmings.

“A big part of Tulle and Candyfloss has been vintage lace but it is hard to source now and expensive so I use modern lace, make it look old and paint or dye it to give it a vintage.

“We also add jewels, pearls, 3D embroidery and hand painted flowers and more – anything to make the dresses creative, quirky and beautiful. We just love doing it.”
