LANCASHIRE County Council is urging companies to apply for funding to help their businesses.
Statistics from The North West Fund show that the county is lagging behind Greater Manchester, Merseyside and Cheshire for the number and value of investments secured.
Since its launch, the fund has made nearly 100 investments for over £25m of funding but only 17 of the investments involved Lancashire businesses, with an aggregate value of £4.5m.
According to North West Business Finance, which manages The North West Fund, they have £185m for investment before January 2016.
