THE jury in the trial of a man accused of murdering a 17-year-old youth in Haslingden has been discharged for legal reasons.
The hearing at Preston Crown Court was halted on the third day of the trial of Sean Fell.
The judge said there had been a development and it was not possible to continue with the trial.
The prosecution had claimed that Declan Eastwood died as a resulted of a frenzied knife attack at an address in Princess Street, Haslingden.
Fell, 25, of George Street, Haslingden denies murdering the teenager last August.
The case is due to be mentioned again at court on February 17.
