A HASLINGDEN school has been honoured by Ofsted at a celebratory event that recognises outstanding schools in England.

The headteacher of St Mary’s RC Primary School, Donna McNicoll, attended the event in Manchester to receive the award from education inspectors.

The evening recognised all schools, colleges, childcare and social care providers who earned themselves a place in the annual list of outstanding providers.

Mrs McNicoll said: “It is a real privilege to receive this award and it is a true testament and accolade to everybody who has worked so hard to make St Mary’s the special place it is today, my incredible staff team, supportive governors and wonderful children and parents.”

All those who appear on the Outstanding Providers list receive commemorative certificates and are authorised to use an exclusive “outstanding provider” logo.
