A COCAINE dealer from Haslingden must pay back £6,000 from the profits of his crimes.
Daniel Delaney, 22, formerly of Langwood Court, was jailed for five years in March 2009 for dealing cocaine.
A hearing at Burnley Crown Court under the Proceeds of Crime Act ordered him to forfeit the cash he made from peddling Class A drugs.
Delaney was arrested in November 2008.
He was caught with cocaine with the street value of £10,000 hidden away at a unit in Stacksteads as well as digital weighing scales, plastic bags and a hydraulic drugs press.
Police have been investigating his proceeds from crime and have successfully applied to strip him of his drug profit.
A spokesperson for Lancashire police said: “We strongly believe criminals should not be allowed to enjoy the profits from their crimes.
“Seizing assets from criminals deprives them of their capital and status, which could be used to further their criminal activity.”
