A MAN had to be cut free from a car by firefighters following a road smash in Haslingden.
A Volkswagen Golf and a Subaru Impreza were in collision in Helmshore Road, near Haslingden Sports Centre, at 8.55pm on Wednesday.
The Golf’s driver was cut free and taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital with from neck injuries and a broken leg.
A man and woman in the Subaru were taken to hospital as a precaution.
The road was closed for four hours.
