ALCOHOL was confiscated from youths as young as 15 by Rossendale police officers.
PCSOs Allyson Ratcliffe and Keeley Dermody interrupted a group teenage drinkers while patrolling the Helmshore and Haslingden area on their police bikes.
The gang dispersed before the PCSOs could confront them but were stopped later that evening.
A large amount of alcohol was taken.
A spokesperson for the police said: “Fortunately none of the youths were drunk but letters were sent home to their parents.
“If they had been drunk they would have been taken home to their parents.”
The haul included schnapps - and vodka-based alcopops, as well as cans of stong lager.
Extra patrols are being sent into the area in a bid to reduce anti social behaviour.
