A TAXI driver has been found not guilty of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl.

A jury at Preston Crown Court took just 32 minutes to clear 54-year-old Nasir Ahmed of any wrongdoing.

Ahmed, of Blackburn Road, Haslingden, had always denied the charges which related to an alleged incident on January 13, of last year.

It had been claimed that Ahmed had sexually assaulted the teenager, who cannot be named for legal reason, in Haslingden.

And a jury unanimously acquitted him at the conclusion of a three-day trial.
