Motorists face A56 hold-ups after early morning crash
HEAVY delays are being faced by motorists on the A56 after an early morning collision.
Police said a Volkswagen Touran and a second vehicle have collided between the end of the M66 and the Rising Bridge roundabout.
The aftermath of the incident has blocked one lane northbound temporarily, while the emergency services attempt to recover the cars.
The crash follows another incident on the M60 near Prestwich, earlier today, which also had an effect on traffic using the M66.
