AN East Lancashire high school has broken the world record for the most people wearing Christmas jumpers in the same place.
Haslingden High School tweeted their joy after 1,431 pupils and staff donned their festive knitwear and congregated outside the building.
The attempt, however, is yet to be verified by Guinness World Records.
Jewson who has branches in Blackburn, Burnley, Accrington and Nelson held the previous world record as of December 16.

At their annual conference in Birmingham 1,187 employees donned Christmas jumpers.
ITV Text Santa Christmas Jumper Day has seen workers across the country don their favourite sweaters.
The charity that supports Make-A-Wish UK, Macmillan Cancer Support and Save the Children has made an impression on local schools and businesses.
