A DRUG taker who kicked off with a support worker at his family home in Haslingden has promised to behave himself in future.

Police were called out by drugs support worker Darren Yates after Lee Marc Hanley, 21, began to cause a disturbance, Burnley Magistrates Court was told.

Prosecutor Andrew Robinson said Hanley had been abusive and started making threats towards Mr Yates and his mother Andrea.

He continued to be abusive when the police arrived on the scene and also threatened to harm his father, when he returned to the property from work later.

Hanley, of Fields Road, apologised for his actions, said to have taken place on October 27 at his home address, and said: “It will not happen again.”

He admitted a breach of the peace and was bound over in the sum of £50 for the next six months to be of good behaviour.
