A PRIMARY school has retained its good Ofsted rating.
Pupils at Haslingden Primary School were said to make good progress in key subjects.
Lead inspector Yvonne Mills-Clare said: “The school cares for pupils exceedingly well. Exceptionally strong partnerships with outside agencies and the nurturing environment ensure pupils’ emotional needs are remarkably well met. The curriculum is good and is enhanced very well by a plethora of visits, visitors and sporting activities.”
The governing body was praised for making a good contribution to improving the school.
Ms Mills-Clare said: “Together with the senior leadership team, governors check the quality of teaching.”
The school was advised to make writing standards as high as those in reading and maths to work towards outstanding status.
