£13,500 raised in memory of Rossendale mum
4:25pm Friday 5th August 2011 in Crawshawbooth
FLASHBACK Team Rossendale members put in practice ahead of the challenge
A TEAM has raised £13,500 in memory of a mum-of-two from Rossendale who died from cancer.
Staff from Riley's butchers in Crawshawbooth have successfully completed the Three Peaks Challenge.
Inspiration for the fund-raising came from Crawshawbooth mum-of-two Lea Hoole, who died from breast cancer on May 10.
Her friends and family, including her brother Shane Nieuwenhuizen, climbed Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike in the Lakes and Mount Snowden to mark her bravery.
The cash raised will be shared between the Haslingden development centre Stepping Stones, Breakthrough Breast Cancer and Help for Heroes.
