A TEENAGE tearaway has been banned from a town centre after nine months of bad behaviour.
Jamie Swain, 17, of Pennine Road, Bacup, has also been told that he cannot enter any building in the town, including public premises, without permission after a two-year ASBO was granted against him.
Police said he caused so much chaos that many shops found it difficult to find staff to work their stores because of fear of him.
Over the last nine months, officers received more than 30 reports of anti social behaviour about Swain and his group of friends.
They included shouting and swearing at business owners, shoppers and local residents, abuse towards shop staff, damaging property and throwing stones at taxis.
PCSO Chris Hamer said: “We had received numerous complaints from concerned shop keepers about Swain’s behaviour.
“People were fed up of his behaviour.
“And some shops were finding it difficult to get staff to work during the evening due to the problems he was causing.
“I hope this order reassures people using the town centre that we do act on their concerns. It should send a strong message to those who commit anti-social behaviour that it will not be tolerated.
“We are committed to working with residents and businesses to address anti-social behaviour and I would like to thank the local comm-unity for helping us to secure this order.”
The ASBO will prevent him from: *Acting or inciting others to act in an anti-social manner likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress in the Rossendale area.
*Being in the company of Carlton Hargreaves, Connor Stokes, Patrick Goodwin, Connor Doyle, Joseph Pilling or Garry Herbert in a public place.
*Entering or being in a defined area within Bacup.
*Entering or being in any building without the permission of the owner or person entitled to grant access.

To Mr gaybiker, the majority of the populous of Bacup are law abiding and polite citizens. There are clowns like Swain in many other towns and the sarcastic nast question made of why anyone would want to live in Bacup is the sign of someone who has never lived there or is trying to divert attention from his own home town which no doubt has similar issues.

dom jolly has obviously never had dealings with the individual concerned or would not be so nice. Sad though it is, this is the only way the general public can have their human rights to visit Bacup town centre in peace.
