Bacup teenage yob banned from town centre

ASBO ACTION Jamie Swain caused chaos ASBO ACTION Jamie Swain caused chaos

A TEENAGE tearaway has been banned from a town centre after nine months of bad behaviour.

Jamie Swain, 17, of Pennine Road, Bacup, has also been told that he cannot enter any building in the town, including public premises, without permission after a two-year ASBO was granted against him.

Police said he caused so much chaos that many shops found it difficult to find staff to work their stores because of fear of him.

Over the last nine months, officers received more than 30 reports of anti social behaviour about Swain and his group of friends.

They included shouting and swearing at business owners, shoppers and local residents, abuse towards shop staff, damaging property and throwing stones at taxis.

PCSO Chris Hamer said: “We had received numerous complaints from concerned shop keepers about Swain’s behaviour.

“People were fed up of his behaviour.

“And some shops were finding it difficult to get staff to work during the evening due to the problems he was causing.

“I hope this order reassures people using the town centre that we do act on their concerns. It should send a strong message to those who commit anti-social behaviour that it will not be tolerated.

“We are committed to working with residents and businesses to address anti-social behaviour and I would like to thank the local comm-unity for helping us to secure this order.”

The ASBO will prevent him from: *Acting or inciting others to act in an anti-social manner likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress in the Rossendale area.

*Being in the company of Carlton Hargreaves, Connor Stokes, Patrick Goodwin, Connor Doyle, Joseph Pilling or Garry Herbert in a public place.

*Entering or being in a defined area within Bacup.

*Entering or being in any building without the permission of the owner or person entitled to grant access.

This is good news for the shopkeepers and the people of Bacup. Should have put the scumbag in the stocks though!

To Mr gaybiker, the majority of the populous of Bacup are law abiding and polite citizens. There are clowns like Swain in many other towns and the sarcastic nast question made of why anyone would want to live in Bacup is the sign of someone who has never lived there or is trying to divert attention from his own home town which no doubt has similar issues.

Mr Apu Quorn

He does have a point thought to be fair the clampits of Bacup like this are a special kind of Neanderthal, the likes of which probably don't exist in other towns.

This Mungos slug like eye brows clearly indicate a history of inbreeding within his family tree

dom jolly has obviously never had dealings with the individual concerned or would not be so nice. Sad though it is, this is the only way the general public can have their human rights to visit Bacup town centre in peace.

Henriettahen- do shut up, like everyone making comments your quick commenting and calling people like this.
instead of mouthing off do something about people like this. the system clearly sides with scum in society, if you all put up with it then beat him up with words then its no wonder they run amok is it?

You said "he has human rights and deserves to be treat with decency" (sic) and then in your next post you seem to be suggesting they should not "beat him up with words" but instead what? Actually beat him up? Pretty sure that wouldn't fit your decency criteria.

Assuming you're not actually suggesting such a thing, what other solution are you offering?
