LIBRARIES across Lancashire will take part in a national festival of creativity later this month.
Users will be offered activities including painting, knitting, embroidery, Lego construction, jewellery making, doodling and singing. Most will be free.
Visitors to Bacup Library will be able to take part in the creation of a tapestry of the River Irwell.
All of Lancashire County Council’s libraries will take part in the UK-wide Get Creative 2018 festival from Saturday March 17 to Sunday 25 March 25.
Cllr Peter Buckley, County Council’s culture boss, said: “The festival will encourage people to get creative on their doorstep and give people the chance to try something different from the various hands-on events on offer.”
The Get Creative Festival is delivered in partnership with cultural organisations including the BBC, Arts Council England, Arts Council of Northern Ireland, Arts Council of Wales, the Crafts Council, Creative Scotland and Voluntary Arts.
