LOOKING for a fright this Hallowe'en? Then look no further than a night at the ‘Farm of Terror’.

Better known as a petting farm, Huttock Top Farm, in Newchurch Old Road, Bacup, is transformed into a hair-raising house of horrors each year.

Now in its seventh year, the live experience horror event, sees brave souls navigate their way through a maze of corridors and alleyways in the farm’s stables.

It includes actors dressed as scary clowns, monsters and other characters from horror films, including Texas Chainsaw inspired monsters reaching out to visitors at every turn they dare to make their way through the pitch black attraction.

The horror event was organised by Terry Bork, who runs the show from his farm with his family, and it aims to raise money to give animals on the farm shelter and food over the winter months when it closes.

Lancashire Telegraph reporter Ben Butler braved the Farm of Terror on Friday night (October 27) to give you a taste of what to expect...

He said: “I went with a friend and we were with a group of people when we went in.

“At the entrance to the tunnel, we were asked if we wanted to live or die, and if you wanted to live, you were offered a glow stick.

“I chose to die and you then enter and follow the arrows which take you to various places in the tunnel.

“I went though a maze of corridors, alleyways and walls, some of which were moving and came across everything from ghosts and ghouls to monsters.

“They were jumping out at me from every direction.

“The course took a good 20 minutes which is a long time when you’re in the dark and faced with things from your nightmares.

“So it’s certainly not for the faint-hearted but I’d recommend people try it out if you’re someone who likes to be spooked.

“I enjoyed every minute of it and it gives you a real adrenalin rush.”

If you are brave enough to attend the event, visit the farm on Hallowe'en between 7.30pm and 9pm.
