A 49-YEAR-OLD man was found hanged in his home, an inquest heard.
Stuart Storr was found dead by a family member, in the garage of his home in Staveley Close, Bacup on March 18 this year.
The inquest at Burnley Magistrates Court heard that the family had their evening meal then Mr Storr went upstairs.
After he did not appear for a while, his partner Jeanette Thompson went upstairs to look for him.
After being unable to find him, Ms Thompson said she went downstairs and discovered her daughter asleep on the sofa.
She then asked her daughter if she had seen Mr Storr, which she hadn’t, and it was when another family member went to get some crisps from their garage, that Mr Storr’s body was discovered.
East Lancashire’s Coroner Richard Taylor said that Mr Storr had clearly been troubled by a number of personal matters in his life.
Coroner Taylor recorded a verdict of suicide and offered his sympathies to the family.
