A PENSIONER suffered head injuries after her car crashed into four parked vehicles and a wall.

The incident involving the woman in her 70s, happened in Burnley Road, Bacup, just before 2pm.

A police spokesman said the woman was taken to hospital following the 'serious collision'.

The road was close for more than two hours and was reopened at 4.30pm.

The spokesman said: "The serious collision saw the woman sustain bad injuries to her head.

"She was treated by paramedics before going to hospital.

"The vehicles involved included Vauxhall Insignia and a Vauxhall Mokka."
