Rossendale students' French delight

LANGUAGE students got a chance to hone their skills on a recent visit to Paris.
Julie Duffell, head of modern foreign languages at Fearns Community Sports College, Rossendale, led 37 pupils on a four-day tour of the French capital.
They saw all the major sights and travelled beneath the city into the sewers to learn about their vital role in the Second World War.
A provisional return booking has already been made for next year.
Miss Duffell said: “I thoroughly enjoyed it. You get to see a different side of the pupils and they get to see you as being a bit more human and not just their teacher.”
