Diamond ball boosts Rossendale Hospice by £38,000

A DIAMOND ball held at Old Trafford football stadium in Manchester helped Rossendale Hospice raise £38,000.
Compered by Jim Rosenthal, other celebrities included Coronation Street cast members Kym Marsh, Shobna Gulati, Antony Cotton, Catherine Tyldesley and Jennie McAlpine, from Rawtenstall.
Irene Smith, CEO, said: “We are bowled over by the success of the event. Big thanks to everyone for their help in staging and arranging, to the very talented Chalcedony Williams and Andrea Price, from Bacup and Rawtenstall Grammar School and to guests who attended the ball for their generosity on the night.”
