THREE homes in Rossendale will feature in hit ITV show May The Best House Win.
An episode of the programme to be aired today will feature houses in Burnley Road, Newchurch Road and Horncliffe Close in Rawtenstall, along with another property in Bolton.
The programme sees contestants rate each other's homes and battle it out to win a £1,000 cash prize.
Businessman Si Carvell, 42, said he was delighted to represent the Valley but that his choice of refreshments – pie and a muffin washed down with vodka and energy drink – didn’t impress his rivals.
He got involved with the show when producers came into his Haslingden shop looking for people to apply.
Si, who lives with his wife Amanda, 38, and two children, Faro, 13, and Simon, 11, said: “It was great fun and I’m going to be a little bit embarrassed watching it because things got a little bit silly at times. One of the people I was up against had a kitchen that was probably worth more than my house.”
