Pride in Bacup town appeal

A COMMUNITY clean-up group striving to restore pride in Bacup is appealing for more members.

Bacup Pride has carried out a number of clean-ups since it formed last autumn, and created a timetable of action to ensure the town stays looking its best.

Member and community development worker for Rossendale charity REAL, Pat Smith, said: “The impact Bacup Pride has already had has been evident and members of the group have supported other events in the town like the Christmas arts and crafts market.

“They now need more volunteers to come forward to become a part of the committee, and help to plan events as well as helping out on the monthly clean-ups.”
