Man hit by car in Haslingden

A PEDESTRIAN has been hit by a car in Haslingden.

The man was crossing Manchester Road when he was collided with a Ford Fiesta shortly before 11.40am today.

The North West Air Ambulance was called but the man, thought to be suffering from a broken leg, was taken by land ambulance to Royal Blackburn Hospital.

Police have cordoned off the road between Greenfield Street and Park Street.

It is not known how long the road will be closed for.
