A DOG was rescued by firefighters after getting stuck down an embankment today.
The dog, named Ruby, had fallen down the embankment at around 3.15pm in Chatterton Road, Stubbins, and was unable to climb out itself.
The owner called 999, and fire fighters from Rawtenstall station pulled it back up.
Fire fighter Keiry Horne climbed down to bring it back to safety.

Maybe this dog was badger baiting ?? should've rung the police, MI5 and the local helicopter to stop it !! Wonder if it had it's own lamp and spade ??
