Yesterday marked the fourth anniversary since Sophie Lancaster and her boyfriend Robert Maltby were attacked in Bacup.
And this weekend, thousands of music fans will remember Sophie at a top rock festival.
The three-day Bloodstock festival, in Derbyshire, starts today with rock legends Motorhead, WASP and Immortal headlining the main stage.
And for the third year running, the festival has dedicated a stage in memory of Sophie, who was murdered aged 20 for dressing as a goth.
Sophie fell into a coma after suffering severe head and facial injuries in the assault and died at Salford's Hope Hospital on August 24.
Rob received life-threatening injuries but has survived battled back.
Bloodstock organiser Paul Gregory said: “We felt this would be a fitting tribute to a young girl who was brutally attacked along with her boyfriend in 2007 while walking through her local park.
“It is our hope that renaming the stage will help to keep Sophie's memory alive and raise awareness to our society that this kind of brutal behaviour will not be tolerated.”
