STAFF at Haslingden High School paid tribute to their ‘excellent’ students at their annual awards ceremony last night.
Certificates were handed out to pupils at the school who succeeded in specific academic areas including Maths, science, English and the arts.
Speaking at the event, headteacher Eve Challinger said: “Academic achievements are important.
“They offer life chances to students in an increasingly competitive and technological world. But Haslingden High School is much, much more than this as activities outside the classroom also enhance learning. They enable students to make a positive contribution; they touch lives and develop students into the responsible adults that they are to become.”
