A WOMAN died despite having surgery weeks earlier, an inquest heard.
Janet Hamer, of Lowe View, Rossendale, died on November 22 last year.
The 63-year-old had undergone vascular surgery at Royal Blackburn Teaching Hospital on November 3 but was discharged home on November 9.
The hearing in Burnley heard she died 13 days later.
Concluding, East Lancashire assistant coroner Richard Taylor said: "Janet Hamer died of complications from essential surgery."
