A MOTORIST who was warned not to drive crashed into an occupied bus shelter.
Police were called to Burnley Road, Crawshawbooth shortly before 1pm on yesterday after a white Vauxhall Corsa collided with a bus shelter.
A police spokesman said the driver had suffered a medical episode at the wheel which had caused the vehicle to leave the road and hit the shelter.
The driver had suffered a similar episode earlier in the day and been warned not to drive, the spokesman said.
She said: "We attended the scene of an Road Traffic Collision where the vehicle had crashed into a bus stop.
"Luckily, the sole occupant of the bus stop was not injured.
"The driver was not injured but had suffered a medical episode at the wheel.
"The worrying thing is, he had the same kind of episode this morning and decided he would still drive even though he had been told by officers not too. "The DVLA are to be informed and his licence is likely to be revoked."
